Xela- Quetzaltenango, Guatemala

Last weekend, my friend Stephanie and I visited the town of Quetzaltenango (we call it Xela). I had never visited this town so I wanted to take advantage of a free Friday to travel. It is about 3 1/2 hours away and is considered to be the second largest city in Guatemala. The weather was beautiful, though a bit colder than Guatemala City. Below are some photos of the weekend.

A beautiful church that you see in many photos in Guatemala. It is in the town of San Andres Xecul. The Catholic Church adorned with Mayan relics.... interesting.
